Objectives of the site
Sugarscape.com is a successor of the official sugar magazine website.
The purpose of sugarscape.com is to enable the target audience, mainly teenage girls, to both read content which they would be interested in, to share links on the net which they find interesting, and also to follow other links posted by other users.
Content can be rated in many ways, to provide content in sortable listings depending on user preference.
Meeting the objectives
Drupal was used to meet basic objectives of the site, with many modules being built to achieve the specific social networking objectives, along with the use of publicly available modules.
Server tuning and caching mechanisms are used to ensure good performance.
