Objective of the site
This is a small iDTV site accessed through the Sky E-Business
portal. The objective of the site is to enable people to volunteer for
a service in their local community, donate to charities, and to read
news relating to the community, and volunteering.

Meeting the objectives
The site is built in WTVML with a PHP5 back end. The service uses a
third party volunteering service called 'DoIt', which enables a user to
type in a post code and find local volunteering opportunities. This
functionality is acheived through parsing an xml response from DoIt,
and rendering it to screen. A user can then choose to volunteer by
filling in a series of forms which will send an email, and add an
application to a database.
